Dr. Farnen received his B.S. from the University of California, Irvine, and his podiatric medical degree at the William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. His residency training was completed at Eastern Virginia Medical School.
During his time in medical school, Dr. Farnen received an NIH Summer Research Grant for his research in Diabetes and wound healing. He went on to graduate top of his class.
Currently, Dr. Farnen is actively involved in the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, Tennessee Podiatric Medical Association, American Podiatric Medical Association and the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. At Advanced Foot & Ankle, Dr. Farnen will be working with all aspects of the foot and ankle, but he’s particularly passionate about diabetic limb salvage and reconstruction. He’s also well trained in forefoot and rear foot reconstructive surgery.
When he’s not at one of the clinics, Dr. Farnen enjoys spending time with his family, going to concerts, and attending sporting events.
